West Yorkshire Police Project spotlight
Digital Deli worked directly with West Yorkshire Police and in collaboration with West Yorkshire’s Violence Reduction Unit to develop a number of campaigns focused on reducing crime in the Night Time Economy. Project Spotlight (www.project-spotlight.co.uk) had a number of communication objectives. The primary aim was to raise awareness of police hotspot activities in small geographical areas where there were disproportionate levels of drug crime, violent crime and crime against women and girls. The campaigns were highly successful with a significant reduction in crime and a spike in crime reporting, even though this was not a key aim of the campaigns.
